Barcelona Set €50m Ferran Torres Price as PSG Circle

FC Barcelona have set an asking price of at least €50m for Ferran Torres as Paris Saint-Germain edge closer to a move for the Spain forward, according to reports on Thursday. The Blaugrana are relaxed about a possible sale of the World Cup winner, but only if any offer from the French champions meets their valuation.

What Barcelona want for Ferran Torres

Interest from Luis Enrique’s PSG gathered pace during the World Cup and has grown since Ferran himself declined to rule out a departure. According to Barça Universal, citing MARCA, sporting director Deco is waiting on a call from PSG counterpart Luis Campos to learn whether the Parisians will table a formal bid. It is a key strand of Barça’s summer transfer business, with the Catalans unruffled and content to let the next move come from the player or the buyer.

Inside the club, opinion of the 26-year-old has not shifted despite a strong tournament, capped by his goal in Spain’s World Cup triumph. Ferran scored 21 goals in all competitions last season, filling in impressively after Robert Lewandowski’s output tailed off, yet he never nailed down an automatic starting spot under Hansi Flick — and his contract renewal remains on hold.

For now, Barcelona will wait. If PSG meet the €50m ask, the Catalans are prepared to do business; if not, one of Flick’s most reliable attacking options stays put.
